Apple on Tuesday reported profits of $11.6 billion for the fiscal second quarter, an increase of 94 percent over last year's $5.9 billion profit. Revenue was up 59 percent to $39.2 billion, thanks to the strong debut of the latest iPad as well as record March quarter sales for the iPhone and Mac product lines.
